Hollis Muslim Community Center

HMCC established in 2019, is the community based local service organization for Muslims residing in Hollis neighborhood, Queens borough, New York. HMCC was founded by a group practicing Muslims from Bangladesh and the number is growing ever since. HMCC brings the Hollis Muslim Community together as it acts as many things, a social center, a community center and an educational center. It is now located in a rental place and aims to re-locate to a permanent place in near future. An elected organizing committee is taking care of the administrative and financial issues related to the Mosque and working towards building a progressive future. HMCC’s aim is to serve a bigger Muslim community by the help and guidance of Allah (SWT), generous participation and continued contributions of the Muslim Community.

Mosques play a crucial role in providing spiritual leadership for the community; however their communal nature can make them places that are particularly vulnerable to the spread of COVID-19. For this reason, HMCC has adapted the way services are delivered and has strict social distancing and hygiene measures in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our priority is the health and safety of our community, visitors, staff and volunteers.

1. Please remember

• Wear a face mask correctly.
• Bring own prayer mat.
• Use hand sanitizer as and when required.
• Always maintain social distancing guidelines as prescribed by the authority.
• Avoid to hug or handshake at any circumstances.

2. Do not attend if you or any member of your household have COVID-19 symptoms

3. Do not gather outside or inside the Masjid with people outside of your household

4. Congregational prayers will continue strictly for local worshippers only

5. There will be 2 or 3 Friday Jum’a prayer sessions due to space limitation
